A description of some of the main KPIs in Practice IQ.
What is considered a New Patient?-
A new patient in Practice IQ is someone who had their very first completed visit in the date range being viewed in the Dashboard or Report.
-
It differs from Dentrix and Eaglesoft, which makes someone a New Patient the moment a patient file is created and before they have actually arrived for a visit.
What is the Accepted Treatment in PBN?
-
A Treatment is considered accepted when service codes from the plan are associated with a visit in the schedule. There is no limitation on how far in advance the appointment is.
Treatment Acceptance %
-
The percentage of the total dollar amount of all service codes in every TX Plan created/updated in the date range being viewed that is scheduled. It also includes the total number of any service codes from the plan that were completed within the same date range.
-
This calculation excludes all codes relating to Hygiene and Perio Maintenance.
Patient Acceptance%
-
The percentage of all patients presented with a TX plan in the date range being viewed that have scheduled a visit containing service codes from the TX plan created/updated in the same date range. This also includes if any of the treatment from the plan was completed in the same date range.
All Patient PreAppointment
-
The percentage of all patients that had a completed visit in the practice in the date range viewed that have another appointment scheduled in the practice beyond the date range.
New Patient PreAppointment
-
Percentage of all new patients (first visit in that date range) who have another visit scheduled in the practice.
Hygiene PreAppointment All Appointments
-
Percentage of all patients that received a hygiene visit in the date range that scheduled another visit in the practice (it does not matter whether the appointment is for the following recall or in the Dr. column).
What is an Active Patient?
-
A patient that has had a completed visit in the previous 18 months.
What is an Inactive Patient, and who is in the "Patients Lost #"?
-
There are two categories of patients that make up this number.
-
The total number of patients over the past 12 months reached a point of 18 months without a completed visit and never came back in.
-
The total number of manually deactivated patients in the Practice Management Software.
