Overview

Payments - Refunds

Anytime a patient requests a refund, the refund must be processed through Stripe. Please keep in mind that refunds will not include the convenience fee charge of 2.9% + 30 cents or PbN's 1% fee, as found in this article

For example, if the patient owes $100, they will be charged $103.20 after including convenience fees. PbN will charge 1% from the net amount of $100, resulting in $99 being transferred to the practice. If a refund is requested, the patient would receive $100, and the practice would still be charged the 1% fee.

If the practice decides to absorb the convenience fee charge for the patient, then the patient would still get $100 back, and the practice would be charged $3.20 + $1 for the PbN fee.
